When did Modern Out start?

In 2012 we started Rustic Brand which the name changed in 2016 to Modern Out.

 

Where did the name come from?

Modern Out signifies the modern day life. Today, we are all rooting for equality whether it be about race, gender, or sexual orientation. We like to think of our brand as a gender neutral label. Modern Out supports anyone and everyone.

 

Where are you located?

Modern Out headquarters is located in Marshall, Texas - USA.

 

Do you have a retail store?

Currently we do not have a physical retail store. We want to keep our focus on affordable merchandise so we keep our costs as low as possible. We are currently reachable by millions of people on the internet. We do have a physical office and warehouse where we answer customer emails, craft, ship, and design.

 

What are your operation hours?

Monday through Friday - 10am to 6pm (central USA time). Weekends we are closed. We work hard for our weekends.

 

ORDERS


How long will it take for my order to be done?

Majority of our products are made to order by human hands. All orders will take 2 to 5 business days before shipping to process. Please keep in mind that during holidays this could lengthen the processing time to around 7 business days or more due to high volume of sales.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

 

Do you accept PayPal?

Yes, we now accept PayPal and Apple Pay.

 

When do I pay?

You pay as soon as you checkout. All orders must be paid for in full before we proceed with the order. We do not accept checks or money orders.

 

SHIPPING + HANDLING


Where do you ship to?

We ship to nearly everywhere in the world.

 

How much are shipping charges?

During checkout you will be able to see the shipping charges once you enter your destination.

 

What do you ship in?

We ship in black waterproof bubble mailers and small to medium size boxes depending on what you order.

 

How long will my order take?

All of our products are made to order. All orders will take 2 to 5 business days to process before shipping them out. Orders during any gift giving holiday like Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. will take around 7 business days to process before shipping them out. Weekends are not considered business days.

Domestic shipping

  • First class - 3 to 10 business days.

  • Priority shipping - 2 to 3 business days.

International shipping

  • First class - 1 to 6 weeks.

  • Priority shipping - we currently do not support priority international.

 

Will my order have additional custom fees?

If you live in the USA, no. If you live outside the USA, possibly. All countries vary with custom fees. We do not have control over this. We recommend using this before ordering to check out your duty fees. We do not cover import fees.

 

How do I track my order?

Once your package ships you will receive an email with your tracking information. Please wait 24 hours for the tracking to update.

 

My order says it was "delivered" but it wasn't. What do I do?

Please contact our customer support and we will send you more information on how we both can take care of this problem.

 

RETURNS + EXCHANGES


What is your return policy?

All in all we want you happy with your purchase and experience at Modern Out.

There are no returns or exchanges on personalized or custom sized items. These are made just for you and nobody else.

On all items that are not customized, you have 14 days from the delivery date to return it back to Modern Out headquarters. All items must be in it original and re-sellable condition otherwise it will be rejected for a refund or exchange.

Do you refund shipping?

No. That is paid to the United States Postal Service which they do not refund shipping charges even if they lose or damage a package. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. This also includes return shipping.

 

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, please cancel right after you order. Depending on the time of year, your order may start it's crafting stage on the same day of purchase. Once crafting has begun, your order cannot be canceled.

 

Do I need to buy insurance when I ship my order back?

Yes, all return packages must have insurance incase the package is lost or damaged. If insurance is not purchased and your return package never makes it to Modern Out headquarters, or is damaged, then there's nothing we can do.

 

Do I need to send a note with my return?

Yes, all return packages must include a note as to why you are sending your package back even if you've already talked to customer support about it. Please include the order # as well. 

 

I am needing a different sized shirt. How do I let you know?

Please contact customer support first to insure we have the size you need in stock.

 

I gave you the wrong wrist size and/or wrong personalization. What do I do?

Please contact customer support over this issue. In some cases we can salvage the wrong size bracelet but we cannot undo custom stamping. Additional charges for extra materials and services may apply.

 

PRODUCTS


How do I find out what an item is made of?

All product listings will inform you of the metal, fabric, etc. that they are made of. We are not responsible for metal allergies.

 

Can I shower with my jewelry on?

Overall we prefer you to not bathe or swim with our products on for longer lasting quality. Anything "plated" or leather should never be around water. Stainless steel and titanium is okay. 

 

How long does plated jewelry last?

Plated jewelry is not meant for everyday wear. Water, oily skin, sweat, etc. can allow the plating to fade. If you want to wear your jewelry everyday please purchase jewelry that is made of stainless steel, 14k gold filled, sterling silver or solid brass. Sterling silver and brass jewelry can still tarnish but can easily be cleaned and polished.

 

How do I adjust my the paracord bracelet?

To make the paracord bracelet smaller, grab the knot with one hand and the end of the loop with the other then pull to make the loop larger which will make the bracelet shorter. To make the paracord bracelet longer, grab the knot with one hand and the middle of the bracelet with the other then pull the paracord making the loop smaller. This makes the bracelet longer.

 

Can I have the back personalized as well?

In most cases, no. Sometimes personalizing the back can disfigure the front. Please contact customer support with the link to the product you are referring to. Please note that additional charges may apply if customizing the back is acceptable.

 

How do I measure my wrist for custom bracelet sizing?

The best way to measure your wrist is with a fabric tape measure. The measurement should be taken at the smallest part of the wrist between the hand and wrist bone. If you don't have a fabric tape measure, you can use string and a ruler. You will need to wrap the string around your wrist and measure it. After you measure it, cut it to the length you measured. Wrap it around again and make sure that it is a perfect (not loose) fit. If it is loose and overlaps, cut again and double check, then send us the final measurement.

 

How do I figure out my morse code request?

Figuring out morse code is very simple, just check out our chart here. Please be aware that morse code usually is more than just one character per letter or number. This leaves your request to be fairly small - for examples just initials or a small word or name - depending on the size of the piece of jewelry. Please check the items description for more details.

  • Please make sure your address is a USPS verified address (USA).

  • All international orders cannot be verified. All international buyers should understand these risks.

  • International orders may be subject to pay duty or tax fees. This is out of our control.
  • All purchases on sale items are final. There are no returns or exchanges on sale items.
  • All purchases on personalized or custom sized items are final. There are no returns or exchanges on these items.
  • All lost or stolen parcels will need to have a claim filed on usps.com.
  • USPS does not guarantee a full refund on lost or stolen parcels.
  • USPS will not refund shipping costs even if they refund the cost of your damaged or lost products in your parcel.
  • Claims with lost or stolen parcels can take up to 90 days with USPS.
  • All "delivered" packages are the responsibility of the buyer. If lost or stolen, file a claim with USPS.
  • All First Class Ground Shipping does NOT include insurance. You cannot file a claim if lost or stolen.
  • All Priority Shipping includes insurance for up to $100.
  • Discount codes must be placed at time of checkout.
  • Discount codes cannot be combined with other discount codes.
